Our goal is to identify the mechanisms that cause pelvic pain, including painful periods, and prevent the development of chronic pain.

Individuals assigned female at birth, ages 18-35, who have regular menstrual cycles are invited to take the pre-screen to see if they qualify for this study.

Most participants will solely access their study assessments from their home via a laptop or tablet, while a select cohort will have the option for additional visits at Evanston Hospital (2650 Ridge Ave).

Virtual assessments will take place annually for 3 years  (time commitment per assessment is about 2 hours). In-person participation will similarly consist of 2 annual visits (time commitment per visit varies from 2 - 4 hours).

Patient Stories

"I feel so grateful to have participated in this study! I hope that going through the study and the info I share with the researchers helps others who are struggling with significant pelvic pain because it's horrible to live like that every day. Thank you all so much for all that you do to help [people] like me!"
